Best Coffee & Brunch Places in Birmingham
I’m always on the look out for new places in Birmingham to visit for a spot of lunch and a cuppa. So, I was pleased when 200 Degrees Coffee Shop located on Colmore Row invited me to visit for a complimentary lunch. I had never been before; however, I’ve seen other Birmingham food bloggers rave about it so it’s a place I’ve been wanting to visit for a while.
Firstly, 200 Degrees is located on Colmore Row the business district of Birmingham opposite the ‘pigeon park’ a place I used to hang out at during my grungy teen days. So, the coffee shop and Barista School is in a lovely spot facing the Cathedral. The interior has a warm, cosy and rustic feel with wooden tables and low hanging lights.

I visited at 12pm, so it was full of busy professionals who work in the offices nearby, although it was busy I was able to get a seat surprisingly quick opposite the counter, which was a great spot to eye up all the delicious-looking food beautifully presented and laid out.
200 Degrees specialise in hand-roasted barista-style coffees with picture-perfect latte art. So, the first thing I had to get my cold hands around was a delicious and beautifully presented Matcha Latte (£3.20), which soon warmed me up after running errands around Birmingham all morning in the freezing cold.

To accompany the Matcha Latte, I picked a warm vegetarian wrap with falafel, spicy mint mayonnaise, sliced peppers, tomato, red onion, coriander and spinach (£4.95). This flavoursome wrap was just what I needed to give me an essential energy boost. The spicy mint mayo was gorgeous and complimented the veggies and rustic wrap perfectly.
To go alongside the wrap, I enjoyed the ‘trio of salads’ with dressing (£4.75), this consisted of a superfood mixture of peppers, salad leaf’s, beetroot, carrots, mixed seeds and quinoa etc. Which went down a treat, with the wrap. I will be going back to order the same lunch again, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

After eating a healthy superfood lunch, I obviously couldn’t help but order myself a sweet treat, so I picked the dark vegan brownie (£2.75).
This was amazing, it was so moist and chocolaty I could have so easily asked for another slice or two, but I really didn’t want to look like Miss.

I’ll definitely be going back to 200 Degrees sometime soon to meet friends for lunch, as I know they’ll love it. Besides warm and cold wraps and baguettes they also have soups, homemade sausage rolls, a variety of desserts and seasonal specials.
