Phyto Paris Summer Festival at 5* Marinca Hotel & Spa, Corsica
An exclusive invitation to represent Phyto Paris UK
Phyto Paris is a luxurious haircare brand I’ve been using for almost two years, their products have without a doubt improved the condition, colour and styling of my hair during this time. So, I was blown away when Phyto invited me to be their only UK representative for the #PhytoSummerFestival taking place on the beautiful French island of Corsica for a 3-day press trip consisting of a luxury five-star hotel stay, fine dining, a catamaran cruise and ending with a dreamy beach dinner party under the stars.
During the trip, I had the privilege to be joined by thirteen gorgeous and very inspirational bloggers from Ireland and all over Eastern Europe and the Gulf. To get to Corsica, which is also known as the island of beauty I travelled from London Gatwick to Paris and then Ajaccio the capital of Corse.
The Mediterranean island is full of lush green mountains, beautiful rustic coastal towns and pristine beaches surrounded by crystal clear waters. To get to our hotel we embarked on a 1.5hr drive around the long winding mountainous roads, which gave us plenty of time to admire the rest of this picturesque island.
The location: Marinca Hotel and Spa
The #PhytoSummerFestival took place at the stunning five star beachfront Marinca Hotel & Spa located south of the island, overlooking the tranquil turquoise waters and rock formations. During our 3 day stay, we slept in the open plan Evasion rooms that come with sea views, a balcony, a cocooning king size bed designed for a perfect night’s sleep for those with backpain and a tropical rain shower with ambient lighting to mimic twinkling stars.
The luxury room was equipped with all the amenities you could possibly need for a short stay, such as soft white bathrobes & slippers, a Nespresso coffee maker, a hair-dryer, LED TV screen, safe & mini bar, air-conditioning, luxury toiletries and more importantly complimentary Wi-Fi.
The stylish white, black and champagne coloured décor also came with a large inviting bath which I regret not taking a dip in, as well as a full-size wardrobe, a cosy sofa, plenty of mirrors and crisp white bed sheets.
The five star welcome dinner
Within an hour of checking into the beautiful hotel, I joined the Phyto team and international bloggers for a five-star welcome dinner under the stars with panoramic views overlooking the beachfront. Sadly, my flight from Paris was delayed so I didn’t have time to curl my hair or finish my makeup once my luggage had arrived at the room, but none the less it was a fantastic experience and Phyto Paris did a brilliant job to ensure the 3-day trip was amazing and full of luxurious experiences, they really did spoil us, so I’m forever grateful for the opportunity!
During the welcome dinner, we enjoyed a gastronomic experience of four perfectly presented courses and a selection of fine wines. To get to know each other we played a mini-game of guess who from a selection of cues taken from our social media accounts which was fun as it helped uncover lots of fascinating & inspiring stories and accomplishments that each blogger has achieved through their blog.
An introduction to Phyto Paris
After a great night’s sleep, I joined the Phyto team for breakfast at the Marinca Hotel’s stunning villa accommodation which offered beautiful scenic beach views with our five-star continental breakfast. We then had a short presentation to introduce us to new launches by Phyto Paris.
Phyto Paris offers luxury and effective haircare products for all hair types. The brand is built on the philosophy of Botanical Power, using a five-step haircare approach of pre-shampoo, cleansing care, rinse off, leave-in and styling treatments to achieve hair beauty & health from its scientifically proven botanical ingredients that are effective at treating common hair problems.
Whatever your hair concerns your likely to find a solution to treat most hair problems with Phyto Paris haircare. Phyto Paris has ranges for oily, damaged, thinning, sensitive, curly, dry, colour-treated hair and hair loss.
The Phytomillesime range for colour-treated hair and the Phytokeratine Extreme range for ultra-damaged and brittle hair are the products I’ve used most (you can find my review here), they have certainly helped bring life back into my hair and prevented my dyed hair colour from fading.
Two Phyto Paris hair essentials that I can’t be without are the Phytolaque Design botanical hairspray for a strong hold and the Phytoplage Protective Sun Veil for strong sun protection. You may have spotted me on Instagram stories multiple times showing off the botanical hairspray because it's amazing, it keeps my curls in all day. My mom and sister are also totally converted to it and buy it themselves. It also makes my loose beach curls look fuller too which I love!
Phyto Paris uses botanical ingredients such as castor oil to nourish & revitalise, hibiscus to make hair soft, shiny and prevent colour fading, Calendula to hydrate, Macadamia and Baobas to repair hair and give it a nutrition boost, Sophora Japonica to strengthen and sage to regulate & stimulate hair follicles.
In 1966 the brand was founded by Patrick Ales the inventor of the blow dry! Since then Phyto Paris has taken a scientific approach to create innovative haircare for over 50 years, with the Phytopolleine scalp treatment being one of many cult products (invented in 1969) its made of 100% botanical ingredients to stimulate the scalp since beautiful hair cannot be conceived without a healthy scalp.
The catamaran cruise around Corsica
After breakfast, we headed to the beach to go on a catamaran cruise where we enjoyed some stunning scenic views of Corsica. Onboard we were joined by a professional photographer who was with us throughout the trip to capture the #PhytoSummerFestival experience for a video, which I’ll get to share with you soon.
Some of us went for a swim in the crystal-clear waters before we headed back to dry land for lunch and Phyto Paris hair treatments & styling to get ready for our exciting beach party that evening.
The Phyto Paris Beach Party
The #PhytoSummerFestival ended with an amazing beach party with candles leading us to a beautifully presented table where we were to enjoy a four-course meal. The dress code was bohemian, so everyone looked gorgeous in floaty evening dresses and statement jewellery. There’s a photo of my outfit on Instagram stories, but unfortunatly I never got the opportunity to have a professional photo taken so I’ve not put it on the blog (it’s not good enough quality lol). The evening finished with dancing under the moonlight with some great tunes from the DJ, I can’t wait to watch the video!
I would like to thank Phyto Paris, Robert from Market Match PR and Graham Anthony Distribution for the magical experience!
