Pizza Express - Birmingham, Bullring Restaurant
Recently I visited Pizza Express as part of a university module. It was the first time I had ever visited the casual dining restaurant located in the Birmingham's Bullring on the 3rd level opposite Selfridges and Cos.
We were greeted instantly by friendly staff when we walked in and was shown to our table. I have been to a few other Pizza Express's but I must say this one is now my favorite because of how light and open it is, the full length windows brings so much light into the restaurant and it reflects off the mirrors and shiny surfaces, you also get a great view of Birmingham especially if your lucky enough to get a table on the balcony with a view of the cathedral.
I ordered a pizza of course and it was delicious, just the way I like my pizza, with a super thin base, thick crunchy crust and lots of mozzarella. I prefer how their pizzas are Italian style rather then American style, as although it was a large size it fills you up just the right amount without feeling stuffed and as we were going shopping afterwards it was just what I needed for my lunch. I also like how you can watch your pizza being prepared in the open kitchen.
As we are students we got a brilliant 40% off our entire food bill, so I would recommend all students to go and give it a try because the atmosphere, modern interior, friendliness of staff and food is perfect just what you want when casually dining out in the city.
