Gift Ideas - Christmas Shopping at Gracechurch Centre Birmingham
Not so long-ago Gracechurch Shopping Centre in Sutton Coldfield challenged me to find this season’s hottest trend, by searching the centre’s fashion stores for key red staple pieces to wear this Autumn/Winter. This week they challenged me again to search for Christmas gifts with a £100 budget, on a complimentary gift card.
When I arrived at Gracechurch Centre located not too far from Birmingham, I had a quick bite to eat and a hot drink at Patisserie Valerie, to get me warmed up and ready to begin my shopping spree. I had a few presents in mind that I had to get, so I headed to those shops first.
1. bareMinerals Bright & Beautiful gift set

First on my Christmas shopping in Birmingham list was the bareMinerals Bright & Beautiful 4-piece complexion set for £20 from House of Fraser. This is something my Mom and I have wanted to get our hands on for a few weeks, so I bought it my Mom and I’m going to try it out too, to decide whether to get one for myself.
The ladies were so lovely and helpful at the bareMinerals counter in House of Fraser, by giving me a brief overview of some of the bareMinerals beauty products, that I now also want to get my hands on too!
The Bright & Beautiful set contains the original foundation primer, loose powder, illuminator powder and a makeup brush. It’s a great introduction set if you’re a bareMinerals first-timer, they also have some stunning eyes and lips Christmas gift sets too.
2. Tresemme Expert Blow-dry hairdryer

Next up, I headed to Boots to buy my Mom a hairdryer as hers is pretty much ready for the trash, it is ancient. So, after being indecisive for a few minutes over which one to buy, I decided on the Tresemme Expert Selection Beauty-Full Volume Salon smooth blow-dry set, for just £25.
If it weren’t for being on a budget, I would absolutely love to buy her the Dyson Supersonic instead, but she would tell me off for spending that much if I did.
So for now, she will have this affordable but good quality Tresemme hairdryer. It comes with a full-size volume mousse and a large blow-drying hairbrush. The hairdryer itself is 2200w and has ionic and tourmaline-ceramic technology to help control frizz and create soft and shiny hair.
3. Marc Jacobs Decadence Eau De Parfum Spray

While I was in Boots I also bought the original Marc Jacobs Decadence 30ml for my Nan, at £49.90. My Nan has wanted this perfume for a while as my Mom wears it, she always says how beautiful the scent is whenever she has it on.
So, I thought I would buy it for her because it will be a lovely surprise on Christmas day, as she’s totally not expecting it. I rely on Christmas shopping at Boots a lot because of the 3 for 2 offer so I will be coming back to get the rest of my presents.
If you prefer more natural skin-friendly fragrances than I highly recommend the Elixirs of Nature Fragrances at The Body Shop instead.
4. Laura Ashley Sweet Pea & Freesia Scented Candle

With £5 spare on my complimentary gift card, I headed to Laura Ashley, as they had a 30% off sale on selected items so I picked out a Sweet Pea & Freesia scented candle for £10 and paid the rest with my own money.
The candle smells beautiful, so I’m going to give it my auntie as she loves Laura Ashley and I know she’ll love this scent for her living room. If you are a fan then you may enjoy my Laura Ashley Afternoon tea experience located not too far away from the centre, it would make a lovely visit after your shopping trip.
