Best Hotels in Bucharest City Centre
In the heart of Romania’s capital in the city centre sits the 5-star Radisson Blu Hotel Bucharest. A stone's throw away from all the best tourist attractions in Bucharest, including the iconic Palace of Parliament, the historic Old Town, and the Romanian Athenaeum Concert Hall.
This luxury accommodation with an outdoor pool in Bucharest couldn't be in a more convenient location. And, with nearby links to the metro station and airport, holidaymakers travelling to the city can access the hotel with no trouble at all.
I stayed at this lavish hotel for 3 nights during a 2-week tour of Romania, staying in a standard double room with breakfast each morning. The beautifully designed hotel is one of the best hotels in Bucharest city centre. Boasting a whole assortment of premium facilities such as a swimming pool with sun loungers and a state-of-the-art fitness centre as well as three bars and five restaurants on-site.
Have a read of my review and watch the video at the end to see if this sounds like one of the ideal places to stay in Bucharest for you.

The luxury quality of the hotel can be immediately felt upon entering the lobby. With high ceilings, a sleek staircase and grandiose hanging decorations that spiral down from above, a contemporary and stylish design is established.
The hotel's 487 rooms are spread out across 8 floors, yet the entirety of the hotel feels extremely spacious and affluent. With minimal furnishings, delicate lighting fixtures and marble flooring, you'll feel like you’re experiencing the VIP treatment as you walk through the lobby.
Towards the evening, a gorgeous dark blue LED lighting fills the lobby, creating a tranquil yet still effortlessly stylish atmosphere to enter as you head up to your room after a day out exploring in Bucharest.
As soon as you enter the hotel you feel a welcoming vibe with a table near reception providing an ice-cold water dispenser. Ideal for you to enjoy a chilled cup while waiting to be served or for you to fill up your reusable bottle on the way out. Which you’ll be grateful for when visiting the city during peak season, I visited in July, and it was hot so pouring fresh cold water to go was just what I needed.
Standard Double Room

The stylish vibe of the five-star accommodation by Radisson Hotels continued as I entered the Standard Double Room. Sitting centrally in the spacious room was a large double bed, which proved perfect for a good night's sleep especially since I was staying at the hotel solo during a group travel press trip. The wide desk with a lamp was handy for getting remote work completed too.
Alongside a variety of amenities. I was able to treat myself to free Wi-Fi, coffee and tea making facilities, plenty of storage space, an in-room safe, an iron and ironing board and a large TV with mirror casting. Which was great to watch while relaxing in bed after a busy day of sightseeing in the capital.
My view out of the window was from the back of the hotel, so there wasn’t much to see but there are, of course, views overlooking the city centre due to the hotel's great central location.
The neutral colour palette room had everything I could need for four nights. I'd recommend choosing this room if you're visiting Bucharest on a mid-range budget, as it gives you plenty of space, facilities and makes for a truly comfortable stay. There are also executive rooms and suites with lounge access available if you’re looking to upscale your hotel experience.

Walking into the bathroom I was pleasantly surprised by the large round mirror as well as a magnifying mirror and suitable lightning since there wasn’t much natural light coming into this particular room from this floor level at the back of the hotel. So, the mirror and lights were perfect for getting ready in the morning, the mirror also emphasised the luxurious feel of the space.
The marble interior was reminiscent of the lavish lobby and there is also plenty of space to clutter the bathroom sides with cosmetics too while getting ready and a large sink.
The rainfall shower was relaxing to get into after a hot and sweaty day of walking around the city. Made even better by the number of complimentary toiletries available to be used as you wish. As well as soft white towels.
Something that I always love to see while staying in a hotel is a bathrobe and slippers. Perfect for getting cosy and lounging around in during your downtime at the hotel. There was also a hairdryer and a full-length mirror with convenient plug sockets nearby to get ready in front of in the bedroom.
Breakfast buffet in the Dacia Felix Restaurant

Heading down the lift for breakfast in the morning, I was nothing short of delighted. Serving up an extensive variety of delicious foods in an international buffet style, I was able to see what took my fancy. Up for grabs was a variety of food from all around the world, with hot and cold dishes and a great selection of fresh fruit available.
I finally settled on toast, mushrooms and cooked potatoes, alongside tasty pancakes smothered in Nutella, and a pastry, with some fresh juice. The buffet-style breakfast allows you to fill up as much as you want before heading out into the bustling city.
Breakfast is served in the large open plan Dacia Felix Restaurant between 6:30 and 10:30 am Monday to Thursday and until 11 am on Friday to Sunday so that you can enjoy a little longer in bed on the weekend.

In such a grand, spacious hotel, it's no wonder that it's home to several restaurants and bars. Choose from a range of cuisines, including Asian and Italian, to customise your dining experience to whatever you're craving.
One of the most beautifully designed eateries in the restaurant is Aristocool. With geometric interior design and sophisticated furnishings, your dinner will feel truly special. Every dish's recipe has been carefully crafted by the top-of-the-line chefs, which you can enjoy while sipping on a bespoke cocktail.
If you're fancying something else, why not try the Ginger Sushi Bar and Lounge? Serving a range of Asian dishes, satisfy your hunger with flavoursome sushi pieces including maki rolls and nigiri. Meals are cooked to perfection in an intimate setting, where you can watch the chefs cook your food.
There are several bars on-site too, including the PSG Bar. Relax by the pool day or evening with a cocktail of your choice, while enjoying a light bar snack.

On a warm summer's day, you can enjoy a dip in the 22-metre swimming pool or have a moment of relaxation in the hot tub. Or why not do some sunbathing by the poolside while helping yourself to what's on offer at the Beach Bar? Whether you want a refreshing cocktail or freshly prepared fruit juice, the beach bar will have something for you.
As well as boasting a large outdoor pool, the hotel also has a spa and sauna facilities for you to unwind and experience a moment of tranquillity away from the hustle and bustle of Romania's capital, and a fully-equipped fitness centre if you want to do a spot of exercise. Plus, there is an indoor pool to enjoy during cooler days.
