Oradea Rooftop bar & spa Hotels
Sitting in the heart of the buzzing Romanian city of Oradea, the 4-star Hotel Ramada by Wyndham couldn't be in a better location. Only a 2-minute drive from the historical city centre, guests at the hotel are a stone's throw from Oradea’s best attractions, including the sensational Black Hawk Palace Arcade, the iconic City Hall and, one of Oradea's most infamous monuments, the Moon Church.
I stayed at this contemporary hotel in Oradea for four nights during a 2-week press trip to Romania. And it was the perfect base to explore the rich history and eclectic culture of the city, that’s home to 7 fascinating architectural styles.
The accommodation has plenty of amenities and services such as a rooftop spa, restaurant, a bar and conference room. Making it ideal for both business and leisure stays. And it’s not just the historical sights of the city that can be easily reached. The popular Aquapark Nymphaea is just a 6-minute car ride from the hotel, making it perfect if you're travelling with family and friends too.
So, have a read about my stay and watch the video below to see if the hotel is ideal for you when planning to explore the beautiful city of Oradea.
The stylish hotel lobby

The spacious lobby evokes a sense of style as soon as you enter, with high ceilings and gloss flooring being complimented by the modern lounge area and lavish light fixtures. The lobby reflects the contemporary inspiration for the hotel.
There was certainly no shortage of amenities across the accommodation. For those seeking some relaxation after exploring the wonders of Oradea, guests can unwind in the fully equipped Riserva Wine Spa located on the rooftop overlooking the city.
Or, if you're travelling for business purposes, there are three spacious conference rooms and an on-site business centre.
The hotel's amenities doesn't stop there – on an evening, you can visit the fine dining Steak Hub restaurant and treat yourself to a delicious meal before conveniently heading back up to your room.

Some modern features of the lobby were also prevalent in the hotel's rooms. During my stay, I was in the Ensuite Deluxe Room with twin beds, which was perfect for me as I was staying solo and of course, it’s a great choice when travelling as a pair. There are other variations of room types to suit your needs that are ideal for couples and families too.
With a smart flat-screen TV, minibar and coffee and tea-making facilities, the room came with everything needed for an enjoyable stay. And, if you're travelling for business, there is plenty of desk space for work to be completed too.
After a full day exploring the city on foot, it was lovely to come back to the room in the evening to get into the soft white robe and slippers provided and relax in the cosy bed to catch up with my favourite YouTubers on the large TV after a shower.
Waking up from a great night's sleep to a view of the historic city, the ideal location of the hotel was emphasised even further. The marble tiling of the en-suite bathroom made it feel clean and spacious. I was also pleased to see a rainfall shower, as after a long day exploring the city during the peak of summer in Romania, I couldn’t wait to have a refreshing shower as soon as I got into the room.
And the complimentary toiletries came in handy as Oradea was the last city on our two-week Romanian road trip, so I had run out of my own cosmetics at this point.

On one evening during my stay, I visited the 7th floor of the hotel to be shown the tranquillity of the unique Riserva Wine Spa. Complete with a state-of-the-art fitness centre, two saunas and a therapeutic Himalayan salt cave.
By far the most distinctive touch, however, is that guests can enjoy a one-of-a-kind wine tasting experience. Step out onto the hotel's scenic rooftop terrace and take a dip in the welcoming jacuzzi, while overlooking panoramic views of Oradea's beautiful Old City with a glass of the finest wine in hand.
You can even try out the spa's vinotherapy treatments and experience an intimate wellness experience like no other. Rated by many as one of the best spas in the city, this journey of relaxation is not one to pass up.
Sadly, I didn’t have time to experience the spa myself. However, I did enjoy a glass of fizz with a view one evening after a delicious three-course meal at the hotel’s restaurant on the ground floor.
The gourmet Ramada Steak Hub restaurant in Oradea

The Steak Hub restaurant at the hotel will treat you to an unforgettable gourmet dining experience. The contemporary style of the fine-dining restaurant is complimented by the vibrant menu. Guests can choose from the finest steaks to a carefully crafted vegetarian menu.
In the company of fellow travel bloggers I enjoyed the flavoursome ‘wild mushrooms risotto’, before finishing with a delectable homemade brownie and ice cream. Both courses were delicious and were perhaps my favourite meals of the entire trip.
However, if you’re vegan like I am now, you may be limited in choice. Understandably since it is a steak house. But not just at this restaurant but at most food places in Romania. As I ate mostly salads during the entire 14 days of my Romania trip in 2019 as the cuisine is very meaty.
Besides this, the restaurant is a contemporary fine dining restaurant, and the service was fantastic. The Steak Hub Oradea has a lot of positive reviews so I’m assuming it’s popular with locals and tourists alike.
The Ramada Buffet breakfast

Served until 10 am on weekdays and 11 am on weekends, the buffet breakfast at the hotel has plenty for you to choose from to set you up for a day of exploring the beautiful city of Oradea.
Choose from an extensive menu of tempting hot and cold food, including freshly baked pastries, tasty fruits, vegetable and meat dishes, or a light grain, fruit salad or yoghurt selection. There's something for most dietary requirements at this breakfast buffet.
I enjoyed a light breakfast of some toast and yoghurt, alongside some freshly squeezed orange juice. Again, if I was visiting now as a fully plant-based individual there wouldn’t be much for me to choose from unless they’ve added a few more veggie food items since my visit almost three years ago.
Watch the video below for more inspiration to consider staying at the 4* Ramada, that’s considered one of the best hotels in Oradea.
To conclude
From the fully equipped room to the well-lit modern lobby and a state-of-the-art spa. I would highly recommend Ramada by Wyndham Oradea hotel if you're planning a visit to the city. Since its central location means, you won’t have to travel far to experience the top-rated things to do in Oradea.
And enjoying a glass of vino of an evening in the jacuzzi while overlooking the city certainly does mean you’re sure to have a memorable experience.
