The Bureau - Birmingham
Vintage cocktail & deli bar in Birmingham
Recently me and my friend were searching for somewhere to eat in Birmingham that we hadn't already eaten from before, so we walked down a few streets checking the menus on the wall and eventually came across The Bureau. We had a browse of the outside menu and decided to go in, because it all sounded delicious and reasonably priced.
When we walked in we were greeted instantly by a friendly bar man and he pointed to this cosy booth nearby. We checked out the cocktail menu and I ordered a Strawberry and Raspberry cocktail which was lovely and. The Bureau specialise in vintage cocktails, which we got to see for ourselves as we watched the bar man create some cool stuff, including ones that created a fog. Watching the cocktails he created reminded me of the movie 'Cocktail' where Tom Cruise plays a bartender in the 1988 film.
A kind waitress took our food order and was very helpful, I ordered the Club Sandwich and it was huge, it contained free range chicken and egg, the sandwich was beautifully presented and tasted great, I also ordered a side of sweet potato fries as I couldn't help myself as I am addicted to sweet potatoes, they tasted amazing, I would go back there again just to eat them. My friend had the Chick pea, tomato and herb burger, which I tried a bit of and it was also very tasty, she enjoyed it. You also get to sit and watch old black and white movies while your waiting, which was really interesting and different.
The Bureau sell free range and locally sourced food which I think is great because it helps local businesses and overall the community. Address: 110 Colmore Row, Birmingham, West Midlands B3 3AG.
Disclaimer: My friend and I visited and paid for our own food and drink. This is not a collaboration.
