Christmas Self-gifting ideas

It’s that time of year when all I want to do is get out of the cold, be in my cosy bed and have some home comforts around me. Since completing my Masters in PR a few months ago and jumping straight into being a full-time Birmingham blogger again.

I’ve been really looking forward to the festive season, just so that I can take time out to relax, eat my body weight in veggie roast dinners and spend some quality time with the family watching 90’s festive movies. I’ll never get bored of Home Alone!

In the lead up to Christmas there are a few essentials I tend to buy every year, so in collaboration with Studio.co.uk, I’ve put together a list of my favourite must-have items I like to enjoy during the festive season.

1. Vegan Snacks

Snuggled up in bed watching Netflix wouldn’t be the same without a few cheeky sweet and savoury snacks over the festive period. So, I’ve opted for a slightly healthier alternative with this Vegan Goodies Basket Hamper.

It comes with a dairy-free Linden Lady Dark Chocolate Bar featuring some cute gold stars and two Get Fruity bars in scrumptious strawberry and Moist Mixed Berry. I’m guilty to say that I’ve already demolished these beautifully moreish Yorkshire Crisps in natural sea salt flavour.

There is also some green pitted olives in lemon & rosemary and these addictive Organic Ginger crunches that are wheat, diary and gluten free.

The hamper comes in a lovely seagrass storage cube which will look perfect on my white ladder wall rack as soon as I’ve eaten all the goodies - which will probably be as soon as I put this laptop away and turn Netflix on.

2. Silky Nightwear

Who doesn’t want to own a pair of black satin pyjamas with their name embroidered on it? I’ve had my eye on this long sleeve nightwear set for a while, the bottoms have an elasticated waist so are super comfy and the top has a white trim and pocket. This elegant loungewear set looks just like what you can get from Victoria’s Secret, but for just £14.99!

At Studio.co.uk personalisation is free, so it makes a perfect gift idea for friends to show them that you’ve put a bit more effort into their gift (without paying extra!).

There's so many items in the personalised gift shop, so there is something for all the family. Plus, if you are planning a hen do or some other celebration, this embroidery service is perfect to create matching tops.

3. Vanilla Fragrances

Sian Victoria © - Victoria's Secret Vanilla Lace Fragrance Mist Spray

Vanilla scented body sprays are something I’ve always received at Christmas as far back as I can remember. So, I just love the nostalgic scent - and anything vanilla food and drink related. The scent just evokes special memories of a much younger Sian Victoria on Christmas morning opening presents with the family and my Maine coon cat.

I’ve not received a vanilla scented fragrance in the past few years, so I picked this Victoria’s Secret Vanilla body mist for £11.99 as a gift to myself, the fragrance is beautiful and comes in a 250ml bottle.

If you prefer perfume instead, Studio has a wide range of affordable top branded perfumes too! You may also find my post on the perfumes for women helpful too if you seek inspiration.

4. Autumnal Dresses

To go out over the festive season in Birmingham, I like to pick out a few autumnal dresses that can be easily dressed up or down. Because of it getting darker earlier I like to dress a bit more dressier when I’m going to beauty events in the day and cocktail events on the night. So, some pretty autumn and winter style dresses are just what I need.

Until recently I hadn’t checked out the top branded women’s fashion on Studio. So, I picked out this mustard and black polka dot dress from Quiz since they have just launched on the site. It’s a wrap dress so it’s flattering if you have a pear-shaped figure, I’m looking forward to styling it at my next event.

5. Eye treats

As I tend to wear a lot more eye makeup for the festive season. I’ve picked out this Clinique Eyes Gift set to make removing my eye makeup a lot easier - so I don’t wake up with panda eyes. It will also help to soothe and refresh my black bags to improve the look of my late nights just a little.

The set comes with High Impact Mascara in black, Eye Cream and makeup remover.

A lot of the top branded fragrances, beauty, clothing and electricals are a lot cheaper on Studio, so it’s a good place to check first to see if there’s a bargain to be had. Especially on the large range of Clinique gift sets they have.

6. Knitted jumpers

Warm knitted jumpers are an essential piece for Autumn/Winter. They are so easy to throw on with a pair of jeans or skirt and boots.

So, I’ve picked out this pink cable and tie detail jumper - perfect for keeping warm during the colder months.

Studio also have a similar version in grey and lilac which I must get my hands on too.

7. Scented candles

I love to light scented candles all year round, but Lavender is my favourite. I do belive that it has a calming effect helping to make me feel more relaxed at night.

So, with the festive season being stressful at times it does help me sleep better at night, with the scent still lingering in the bedroom.
