Women can be very difficult to buy gifts for. Over the years I’ve personally found it exhausting to find gifts for friends and family, and I know they have found it hard to buy for me too – which is probably why in recent years I just receive gift cards.

Don't get me wrong gift cards are great, but nothing beats receiving a gift that a lot of thought has gone into or a personalised item to make it that little bit extra special and memorable.

Recently, I visited the BBC Good Food Show at the NEC for some wine tasting with yellow tail. They are a family-owned winery from the small country town of Yenda, Australia.

All their wine is made by the sixth generation of the Casella family. I love sweet red wine so the Jimmy Red Roo was my favourite while the bottle of Shiraz was my Mom’s.
