Luxury Gift Guide for Women

Women can be very difficult to buy gifts for. Over the years I’ve personally found it exhausting to find gifts for friends and family and I know they have found it hard to buy for me too – which is probably why in recent years I just receive gift cards. Gift cards are great, but nothing beats receiving a gift that a lot of thought has gone into or a personalised item to make it that little bit extra special and memorable.

I’ve received some gorgeous luxury press gifts in the post this year and they’ve certainly made me feel special and appreciated so I’ve put together this gift guide for women that you may find useful when picking out for your partner, sister, mother, a friend or simply something to treat yourself!

If you chose to give perfume as a gift, why not consider getting the bottle engraved so that it's personalised and makes them feel extra special every time they use it. Receiving perfume is lovely but having a bottle that’s personalised to the recipient shows that there’s been a bit more effort and thought put into it. To announce their engraving service The Perfume Shop kindly sent me an engraved bottle of Chanel Coco Mademoiselle with my name on it, which ultimately made it my favourite go-to scent. If you would love to give a personalised perfume bottle to that someone special, The Perfume Shop in the Bullring have an affordable engraving service in-store.

If you’re not on a budget, then this beautiful feminine scent 'Jasmin Des Anges' by Maison Christian Dior makes a show-stopping gift. It reminds me of summer days strolling around Oia in Santorini. The exclusive collection of 25 fragrances by Maison Christian Dior has launched in London Heathrow Airport at Terminal 3 & 5. So, if your jetting off soon visit the Dior counter in World Duty Free to see which fragrance evokes a special memory for you or simply check out the gorgeous collection at Dior.

A new fragrance accompanied with beautiful lace underwear makes the ultimate luxury gift for that someone special in your life. Boux Avenue is perfect if you’re on a budget but want great quality and plenty of choices while Victoria’s Secret is the place to go if you want to feel like a total angel!

This sexy red lingerie set from the Chloe range at Boux Avenue is £26 for the bra or £35 for the set. While the new Very Sexy Push-Up bra from Victoria’s Secret is £49, they also have some great scents too. Both lingerie stores offer complimentary bra fitting services and are more than happy to help you pick out the perfect gift.

Alternatively, if you are looking for a lingerie set that’s a little more delicate and unique then Nette Rose has some amazing intimate pieces that have been hand-made with love. They are an independent brand from South Africa and are all about natural beauty and body positivity, so I urge you to check them out, the designs are gorgeous, and the delivery is quick too!

alcohol gift set

In the summer Revolucion De Cuba sent me the ultimate cocktail making set featuring Bacardi Anejo Cuatro Aged Rum, orange bitters, brown sugar, cocktail making accessories and a recipe card. So, if you know someone who loves a good cocktail or two you could do a little research into cocktail recipes based on their favourite drinks and flavours so that you can put everything they’ll need in a hamper style basket or box so that they can have fun making cocktails themselves at home.

I’ve been creating cocktails at home with pure maple syrup from Canada , it’s delicious and can be paired with almost any alcoholic beverage. Mixed with gin or prosecco is a personal favourite of mine.

[yellow tail] wine

[yellow tail] wine

Recently I visited the BBC Good Food Show at NEC for some wine tasting with [yellow tail]. They are a family-owned winery from the small country town of Yenda, Australia. All their wine is made by the sixth generation of the Casella family. I love sweet red wine so the Jimmy Red Roo was my favourite while the bottle of Shiraz was my Mom’s. She loved it so much I purchased a bottle from Asda as a pre-Christmas gift for her, we enjoyed a glass with our Sunday roast feast and Netflix binge. Bottles of [yellow tail] are around £7 from Morrison's, Asda, Tesco, Waitrose, Nisa and Spar etc. In my experience wine always makes an appreciated gift!

Non-alcohol gift set

Gin seems to be the trending drink of choice this year so for those who don’t drink alcohol, Seedlip is a great alternative so that non-drinkers don’t miss out. Seedlip is a Distilled Non-alcoholic spirit and they have some lovely gift sets available. The Grove 42 paired with Fever Tree Indian Tonic Water is a personal favourite of mine.

Subscription to Craft Gin Club

Love gin? Or know somebody who does. A monthly subscription to Craft Gin Club may just be the perfect gift. Every month you'll receive a different full-size bottle of gin with a range of mixers and sweet & savoury treats as well as a full and glossy Ginned magazine. This December’s festive box edition contains a full-size bottle of Tarquin’s gin, three Schweppes tonic waters, Simply Christmas spice syrup, Appletiser lightly sparkling apple juice, Tyrrell’s hand-cook English crisps, Copperpot Christmas spiced fudge and Arden Amici classic mini panettone. It’s a great box to receive to help get the party started this season.

Eyelash & Brow enhancing serum

Everybody I know wants long length lashes and full brows, especially over the party season. So, why not give the gift of naturally beautiful lashes so that they can skip the effort of applying false lashes or the embarrassment of losing one on a night out. RapidLash has the perfect party prep essentials to naturally achieve longer looking lashes, fuller-looking brows and a smoother more radiant complexion so that you can embrace your own natural beauty. If you know somebody who loves their fake lashes and perfecting their brows RapidLash may just be the perfect gift for them!

Designer watch

Why not give the gift of time with a stunning Nordic design watch. The Obaku Viol watch priced at £99 comes in steel, black, gold and rose gold with a minimalist stainless-steel mesh strap. Its simple yet luxurious design just adds that touch of glamour to any outfit.

Candles & Diffusers

Rituals Candle

Rituals Candle

If your loved one enjoys lighting candles to make the home cosy or bath time a lot more relaxing. Rituals have a wonderful collection of Incense candles presented in lovely keepsake boxes. I picked the black oudh candle from the Rituals Private Collection it has an exotic woody scent. They also have a luxurious scented body, bath & shower collections and an array of diffusers.

Vanity Mirror

If you know somebody who loves a good selfie or enjoys pampering their skin and perfecting their makeup, then an LED light vanity mirror with magnification is perfect. I was gifted the mirror by SpenceandI (no longer stocking) and I’ve found it so helpful while doing my cleansing regime, makeup and at home dermaplaning.

Luxury Skincare

Lierac Hydragenist Set

Lierac Hydragenist Set

Lierac is a luxury French cosmetic brand who specialises in anti-ageing & vitamin infused skincare. They have a beautifying skincare regime designed for women in their 30’s with the ‘Hydrageniest’ collection, 40’s with the ‘Magnificence’ range, 50’s with ‘Liftissime’ and ‘Premium’ for all ages.

This bouquet of gorgeous autumnal flowers from Bloom & Wild was sent to me in the post when I completed my #100dayreset skincare challenge. They were a lovely surprise, so I thought they’d be perfect to add to this gift guide as you can type a personal message for the card.

Luxury Face & Bodycare

Uriage Eau Thermale Water

Uriage Eau Thermale Water

Not to sound ungrateful or anything, but every year I receive an overly fragranced body moisturiser, hand or bubble bath set with unnecessary colourant ingredients which I find to be really drying to my sensitive skin. (I no longer use them and pass them on…shh). So, if you are looking to gift someone a body, shower or bath set it's worth checking out Uriage’s extensive collection of highly effective products. Their face, lips and body products contain thermal water, I’ve mentioned a few times on the blog about the benefits of thermal water, it’s an amazing ingredient for people with sensitive skin and will help relieve most common skin issues rather than worsen them as most affordable festive gift sets do.

Personalised Dior

If you know somebody who loves wearing a red lip, then a personalised Rouge Dior lipstick may just be the perfect stocking filler. You can get a limited edition lipstick from the Dior Backstage Studio at Debenhams in the Bullring, Birmingham.

independent chocolatiers

To sweeten up the stocking filler, chocolate makes a lovely gift because who doesn’t love chocolate? Instead of purchasing mainstream chocolate why not support independent chocolatiers such as Paxton Chocolate who create unique chocolate concoctions that you can’t find anywhere else, especially on the high-street. Paxton are a small British-owned business located in Brighton. Paxton displays their chocolate in re-useable keepsake tins.

Luxury personal care

The Perfect V Vanicure Essentials set may be something you purchase for yourself, but either way, it comes in a lovely feminine gift box with luxurious cosmetics for the intimate area. The Perfect V is the only brand to have created an all-natural ingredient beauty regime for the V to help soften, soothe, replenish and cleanse the area. The range of products is available online or in Harvey Nichols.
