Street Food & Craft Beer - The World Bar
From New York, Mexico and Moscow hot dogs to Buenos Aires, Dublin and Wigan pies. You can taste street food and craft beer from all over the world at The World Bar located within Resorts World Birmingham
After a busy morning running errands, and an afternoon spent in the sporty outlet shops in Resorts World Birmingham looking for a yoga outfit. I was in need for some delicious comfort food, so I headed to The World Bar to kick-start the weekend. Pizza, sweet potatoes, nachos and a beer imported from Barbados was my meal of choice (don't worry I shared all the food with a friend, although it was so good I wish I hadn't..ssshh!). I can honestly say it’s the best pizza and sweet potatoes I’ve had in a long time. After spending two weeks eating rice on my travels, I totally demolished the meal, there was not a crumb left in sight. I’m annoyed at myself for not noticing the chocolate & Nutella and red velvet cake ice cream on the menu, so I’m definitely going to be trying out the desserts next time.
It was difficult to pick what I wanted from the menu, as everything sounded amazing, I love how its world street food. I am planning on coming back to The World Bar again very soon as there’s so much on the menu that I want to try. From New York, Mexico and Moscow hot dogs to Buenos Aires, Dublin and Wigan pies.
My Napoli pizza came with mozzarella, sundried tomatoes, pesto and olives. They also have a Chicago and Beijing themed pizza too. The sweet potato fries came seasoned with beer salt and served with bbq beer sauce. And the nachos came with salsa & Brooklyn fondue.
On the drinks menu there are beers imported from Scotland, England, USA, Sweden, Iceland and Japan. We picked the Barbados 10 saints beer – a light roasted malt and citrus aroma with a subtle taste of vanilla and tropical fruit. Me and my friend don’t really drink beer, but we both really enjoyed this one because of the vanilla and tropical taste it was lovely and refreshing.
The World Bar have a fantastic street food menu and a great selection of drinks. You can also go al-fresco and dine outside with views of the lake.
