Turtle Bay - Caribbean Eating & Drinking - Birmingham

If you're looking for great tasting food, 2-for-1 cocktails and Caribbean vibes then Turtle Bay is the food place to go in Birmingham

For so long now I have wanted to go to this place, me and my friend went a couple of weeks ago on a Friday afternoon and it was jam packed and was told it would be an hour and a half wait, we were so gutted after peeking inside and smelling the delicious food and seeing the great atmosphere. But we were so hungry we gave it a miss, we should have booked ahead, but we eventually found the time and visited on a Tuesday lunchtime during our two hour break from university and it was well worth the wait!

Turtle Bay has a very cool Caribbean vibe and interior, the Birmingham restaurant looks fantastic, there are plenty of features to admire on the walls and if you use your imagination you could easily picture yourself chilling in a hut sipping mojito's on the Caribbean beach *I wish!*.

It was 2 for 1 on cocktails, so we had mojito's, and we both had the 'Lunch 'n' Lighter' menu which was £7.00 each on selected dishes, which was perfect as it worked out for less than £10 each altogether. So for a delicious spicy meal, cocktail and great atmosphere in Birmingham it was worth every penny.

I choose the Kingston Salmon Toastie - a flaked salmon fillet, goats cheese, cheddar cheese, fresh rocket, West Indian hot sauce, Caribbean slaw and fries. Which was so tasty, I've never had anything quite like it before, it was the perfect amount of spice for me and I didn't leave a crumb, it's a meal I will definitely be going back to eat again. My friend had the jerk chicken wrap and she really enjoyed that too.

For affordable tasty food cooked in an open kitchen, 2 for 1 on cocktails and a great atmosphere I definitely recommend giving Turtle Bay a visit with friends, there's 15 restaurants in the UK so your likely to have one in a city near you, if your planning to visit on the weekend or evening I would book on the website just in case.
