Best Luxury 5* Hotels in Las Vegas

When deciding on a hotel to spend 10 days in Las Vegas, we knew that the 5* Vdara Hotel and Spa was the perfect choice. We had spoken with others who had stayed there before, and they highly recommended it. One of the reasons they suggested the Vdara was because it's not located directly on the bustling Las Vegas strip. Instead, it's tucked away and offers a serene and relaxing atmosphere. The hotel's emphasis on being a spa retreat added to the tranquil ambience.

The Vdara hotel in Las Vegas distinguishes itself from others in the area by not having a casino and by being a non-smoking establishment. We found this to be a significant advantage, as it allowed for a more relaxed and peaceful atmosphere, free from the discomfort of second-hand smoke. Moreover, the hotel was not overcrowded with tourists, adding to the serenity of our stay. Additionally, the hotel was imbued with the delightful fragrance of green fig, adding to its appeal.

Even though the Vdara is situated in the CityCenter area, which is not directly on the strip, it remains incredibly accessible to the strip. This is thanks to the convenient walkway from the Vdara that leads directly to the Bellagio. This pathway even takes you through the Bellagio botanical gardens before arriving at the Bellagio entrance on the strip, in front of the famous fountains. Additionally, guests can easily hop on the free trams or take the numerous escalators to explore the other nearby hotels.

The Vdara Hotel is a 5-star rated property, and we were thrilled to have booked the City Center Corner Suite. The room exceeded our expectations, and my photos simply don't do it justice (I snapped them quickly for family). While I hadn't planned on writing a review, I wanted to share my experience because the hotel was nothing short of perfect.

The suite came with everything we could need, including a washing machine, dryer, large fridge and freezer, two large-screen TVs, an iron and board, hairdryer, microwave, hob, a safe, and two phones. One of the highlights was the large bath and separate shower, as well as the soft dressing gowns and slippers that were provided. We also appreciated having two separate sinks in the bathroom, making it easy for us both to get ready in the morning at the same time.

Our suite at the Vdara hotel was a true gem, featuring four spacious and open rooms that could be easily accessed in a circular fashion, whilst each could be shut off using the room separators for extra privacy.

Amongst the rooms were a fully-equipped kitchen, a cosy lounge area, a comfortable bedroom, and a pristine bathroom, each with stunning big windows, except the kitchen. We could control the amount of light coming in through these windows, thanks to the wall remote that allowed us to adjust the window coverings according to our preferences.

Our room, number 18023, was situated on the 18th floor, providing us with views of the city, the neighbouring Aria hotel and mountains.

The hotel boasted of modern and chic decor, complemented by a high-end finish, creating an overall luxurious ambiance that left us impressed. Every staff member we encountered was incredibly friendly, making our stay here an enjoyable and memorable one. Additionally, the housekeeping service was thorough, with them coming every day to ensure our suite was clean and tidy.

The Vdara hotel exudes calm and serenity, so it was no surprise to use when we spotted several celebrities during our stay. Its tranquil atmosphere provided us with a sense of having our own private hideaway, making it an ideal retreat from the busy strip of Las Vegas. Whilst the themed hotels on the strip were impressive, we loved the convenience of returning to the Vdara without having to navigate through crowds to reach our room, as we've had to do in the past when visiting Vegas.

However, the pool experience at the Vdara was slightly off-putting, as it felt somewhat pretentious. Despite being almost empty, when a celebrity came to sit by the pool, we were asked to move to another lounge chair at the back after having been there for almost two hours. Though we obliged, the incident left a sour taste, and we did not return to the pool during our ten-night stay.

We felt so at home in our suite that we were almost tempted to never leave! However, we know there are suites at Vdara that offer a stunning view of the Bellagio fountain, and if we were to return, we'd love to book one of those. On the other hand, if you're looking for an affordable option away from the strip, check out our review of the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino.

Overall, our stay at the Vdara Hotel and Spa was a wonderful experience, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serene, relaxing retreat that's still close to all the main attractions in Las Vegas.

If you are visiting Las Vegas for the first time, peak season can be quite overwhelming. It is therefore advisable to have a non-themed hotel away from the busy strip where you can unwind after a long day. A trip to Vegas is anything but relaxing, and having a break in a comfortable hotel will help to break up your holiday. Best of all some rooms are dog friendly and there is a state of the art spa.
