Las Vegas Experiences Guide: Things to Do and See at Each Resort
Get ready for an ultimate guide to experience the best of Las Vegas! Beginning with the iconic "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" sign located at the south end of the strip, my itinerary will take you through every resort situated along Las Vegas Boulevard as of 2024.
From sightseeing at these iconic themed resorts in Las Vegas, I will take you on a tour of the unmissable attractions present in each resort. We'll begin from the west side of the strip and head towards the north until we reach the Strat, the farthest hotel on the strip. Then, we'll cross the road and explore the resorts located on the east side as we head back towards the south end.
To make the most of your first visit to Las Vegas, this guide has been organised according to the location of the various landmarks. This will allow you to move seamlessly from one attraction to the next without missing out on any of the noteworthy sights. It is important to note that while the strip may give the appearance of closeness, the resorts are massive in size and cover 4.2 miles.
Therefore, it is wise to allocate enough time to explore each point of interest without underestimating the time it may take. You may need at least 3 days to visit every resort. So, come with me as I share all the top experiences that each resort on the Las Vegas Strip has to offer.
Starting Point: Southern End of Las Vegas Boulevard
Beginning our exploration along the Las Vegas Strip, the southern end presents a unique blend of iconic landmarks and attractions that establish the tone for the adventure that lies ahead. The following are some notable points of interest on the south end of the Strip:
1. Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign: Starting our tour of the strip, the symbolic sign has greeted visitors since 1959. It is a rite of passage for every Las Vegas tourist to take a photo at this legendary sign. You’ll find a car park and a hefty line of tourists depending on the time of day you visit, be aware of some individuals offering to take your photo as they expect to the paid. (Free attraction)
2. Harley Davidson Store: A must-visit for motorcycle enthusiasts and anyone seeking a taste of Americana. This extensive showroom not only offers bikes and gear but also expresses the spirit of freedom and adventure.

These initial attractions set the stage for the diverse experiences that await at each resort as we move north along the Strip. The sign is located central to the boulevard and the two attractions mentioned above are on the east side of the strip, so if they are of interest, they are worth doing while you are at the start of the strip as you won’t need to venture this far when we head back south of the strip.

Park MGM Las Vegas
Park MGM Las Vegas is a contemporary hotel with a casino, spa and pool situated on the strip. However, unlike its neighbouring themed resorts, it offers an intimate and eco-friendly ambiance that sets it apart. The resort strives to reimagine the typical Vegas experience and appeal to a younger demographic by creating a sophisticated and relaxed vibe.
Additionally, Park MGM is thankfully the first smoke-free casino resort on the strip, demonstrating its commitment to sustainability and setting an industry standard. If you’re not a smoker and you’ve never visited Vegas before, when you do visit, you’ll quickly understand why this is such a big deal. When you walk from resort to resort you are smothered with second-hand smoking, which isn’t enjoyable or healthy. This is why I stayed at the smoke-free and casino-free Vdara Hotel located slightly off-strip in the city centre area, so this new eco-conscious hotel on the strip is one I’ll be considering on future city breaks in Las Vegas.
Here are a few key attractions within and around the resort.
23. Dolby Live: This state-of-the-art venue hosts world-class entertainers, bands, and artists, providing immersive experiences for audiences. The sound and visual technology is powered by Dolby Atmos, elevating the performances to a whole new level. (Prices vary depending on entertainment)
24. Haus of Gaga: If you love pop music and art this is a unique attraction for pop culture fanatics. It is an exhibition space dedicated to the flamboyant and iconic style of Lady Gaga, showcasing some of her most memorable costumes and artefacts, including that infamous meat dress. This offers fans an opportunity to explore the star's creative universe up close. (Free attraction)
25. The Park: This open-air destination for dining and entertainment, is reminiscent of the bustling public spaces of New York City. This refreshing venue features an array of restaurants, bars, and artistic installations, creating a relaxed atmosphere perfect for socialising and unwinding. Situated conveniently next to the T-Mobile Arena, The Park is an ideal place to visit while waiting for or after a show. (Free to explore)
26. Eataly: This lively Italian marketplace infuses Las Vegas with the sophistication and culinary pleasures of Italy. With a distinct selection of restaurants, cafes, and retail options, Eataly is a foodie's dream come true. Foodies can indulge in authentic Italian cuisine, purchase premium ingredients, and even enjoy live cooking demonstrations. (Free to explore)

Each piece tells a story, inviting guests to ponder the intersection of fashion, art, and the surreal.

End Point: Northern End of Las Vegas Boulevard
The towering STRAT Hotel represents the end of the strip's most notable tourist attractions on the west side. However, the sightseeing spot that can be seen outside the resort is not just an endpoint, but an opportunity for further exploration. The Las Vegas Boulevard Gateway Arches act as a symbolic sight, welcoming visitors on foot to cross over and continue their tour on the east side of the strip heading back to the southern end.
Beyond the STRAT, the boulevard continues towards the Fremont Street Experience in downtown Vegas. If you plan to visit downtown, it is advisable to use the free loop service that can be accessed from the Strat or take the Deuce bus for this portion of the trip, as the area in between these points of interest is less frequented by tourists and presents a sharp contrast to the lively bubble of the strip.
74. Las Vegas Boulevard Gateway Arches: Recently constructed the stunning arches are more eye-catching and less visited than the historic sign at the south and are a modern marker for those exploring the lengths of Las Vegas Boulevard, symbolising both an entrance and a farewell to the strip’s endless wonders.
75. Showgirls City of Las Vegas Sign: A little further down past the arches at the intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard and Main Street, stands a colourful and glitzy tribute to the city's entertainment legacy. Soaring at 26 feet, this installation captures the spirit of Vegas in all its glory. Featuring two dazzling showgirls, a giant roulette wheel, and a stack of chips.

With a rich history that spans several decades, this resort radiates a unique character, standing out as a symbol of the golden age of Las Vegas, updated with contemporary style.
While SAHARA Las Vegas may be located at the far end of the strip and offer fewer attractions than some of its mid-strip counterparts, it remains a hidden gem worth exploring. This resort boasts a range of entertainment, and bars, alongside a casino, a sportsbook, multiple pools, convenience shops, and an array of restaurants.

Thanks to the addition of the Monorail which runs from SAHARA Station to the MGM Grand Station tourists can now easily access the east side of the strip going north or south. Tickets are from $6 for one ride or $15 for the day and can be purchased for cheaper on the official Monorail website.
