Although, be sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated if you choose to take a walking tour, as it is not ideal for first-time visitors navigating the area. If you do, make sure to plan your journey as you won't have time to walk to each destination but you will be able to walk to some spots such as Santa Monica to Venice beach.

Regardless of which transport mode you choose, taking the time to plan your routes and check for any potential disruptions or delays will ensure a smooth and enjoyable day of sightseeing and fitting in as much as possible.

My Experience: Los Angeles and Hollywood Day Trip From Las Vegas

As the end of my Las Vegas holiday drew near, I found myself having already seen and done everything on my Nevada bucket list, including a Vegas to Arizona road trip to the Grand Canyon. However, I knew that I needed to complete my time in America with a visit to California.

To achieve this, I spent my last Friday on a day trip to the Grand Canyon. Starting at 6 am, we returned to our hotel just before 1 am the next day. The following day, I embarked on a trip to California, leaving me with only an hour of sleep between the two road trips. Despite feeling exhausted and repeatedly hitting my head off the car window, I remained wide awake upon arriving in Hollywood and excited for a day of sightseeing.

Booking the Vegas to Hollywood Tour with Quality Tours of Las Vegas, we were picked up in a minivan, treated to breakfast and fresh juice, and headed to Hollywood. Our first stop was Warner Brothers Studios, followed by a sightseeing spot overlooking the Hollywood sign and downtown Los Angeles.

Included in the trip's price was a meal at the Hard Rock Cafe on Hollywood Boulevard. After lunch, we had some free time to stroll down the Walk of Fame and see the celebrity handprints at Grauman's Theatre.

From Hollywood Boulevard, we journeyed to Beverly Hills, passing designer shops on Rodeo Drive and the hotel where the iconic film, Pretty Woman, was filmed. We then had some free time to explore Beverly Hills before getting back in the minivan for a celebrity house spotting tour of Holmby Hills, where we caught glimpses of the Playboy Mansion, Michael Jackson's and Robin Williams' impressive homes, and more.

The final stop of the tour was an hour of free time in Santa Monica. I took a leisurely stroll along the pier, explored the arcades, and enjoyed the atmosphere of people playing guitars and volleyball. After a long and amazing day, I made my way back to Las Vegas and collapsed onto my king-size bed at the Vdara Hotel & Spa.
