Lancome Juicy Shaker
As a lip gloss obsessive, I couldn't wait to try out the new Lancome Juicy Shaker shades in 'Piece of cake' and 'Show me the honey'
Recently I went to a World Duty Free event at Birmingham airport (read post here), and I was gifted with Lancome Juicy Shaker in the 'Mangoes Wild' shade. It smells, feels and looks lovely on the lips. So when Lancome sent me their two new shades 'Piece of cake' and 'Show me the honey', I was looking forward to trying them out, as their not available until the 31st August.
I'm obsessive when it comes to applying moisture to my lips, as they tend to get very dry. So throughout the day, I apply lip balm regularly along with colour. But with the Lancome Juicy Shaker, I get nourished, glossy lips with a natural looking pigment.
The bi-phased formula contains sweet almond oil, omega 3 and cranberry oil, which explains why they smell so beautiful. The healthy oils are good for the lips too, by melting onto them and keeping them soft, nourished and kissable.
To apply the infused lip oil, simply shake so the oil and pigments can infuse together and then use the sponge applicator to contour the lips, it's the perfect shape so it's easy to apply without any mess.
Both colours look lovely on but bare in mind your lips are not going to be that full shade you see, as once applied you achieve a tint of the colour, along with shiny glossy lips, which I found made my lips appear fuller. So I am definitely going to carry on using them, as who doesn't want lips that look bigger than they are. The 'Show me the honey' simply gave me a sheer wash of a glossy tint. The 'Piece of cake' is my favourite, as I love the shade and I noticed the colour is more noticeable on my lips compared to the two other shades I have tried.
The packaging is cute and compact, and my lips certainly feel lovely and hydrated, but you will need to apply it regularly throughout the day as it doesn't have much longevity. When I come to purchase these myself, I will opt for darker shades like the 'Piece of cake' as the colour is far more noticeable compared to the lighter shades.
