Ana Rocha Bar & Gallery - Spanish Tapas in Birmingham
A bunch of Birmingham Bloggers meet at Ana Roach Bar & Gallery, for an evening of Spanish tapas, cocktails and antiques
Ana Rocha Bar & Gallery is an independent Spanish tapas restaurant by the Jewellery Quarter selling a great range of cocktails and wines. The venue is unique, as its also home to fine art and antiques that are available to buy. My first impressions when walking down the red carpet and through the white hallway lined with paintings, was wow, especially when I walked into the main room and was surrounded by stunning antiques, beautiful old furniture and ornate candles burning.
The bar only opened recently, so it was the perfect venue for the Birmingham Bloggers meet up hosted by The Ting Thing. Over 50 bloggers turned up, armed with name tags and ready to mingle with like-minded food enthusiasts.
After chatting to some lovely familiar faces from the Birmingham blogosphere, it was time for us bloggers to do what we love best, snap photos of our food and then eat and tweet about it!
To get our hands on all the delicious complimentary food, we had to tweet about it first, and we must have been hungry as the #bbxanarocha tag trended locally, so the evening was a great success. We enjoyed a range of cold and hot tapas, but sadly the purple lighting in the venue wasn't very camera friendly so my food pictures didn't turn out that great.
The Ana Rocha Bar & Gallery is certainly a hidden gem within Birmingham, it has such a unique atmosphere dining and sipping on fizz surrounded by fascinating pieces of history, you'll definitely be kept entertained checking out all the antiques. I posted a short video on my twitter, of me walking around the venue and showing the food if you want to check it out here.
