Located at the cruise liner-shaped Resorts World Birmingham, the 4* Genting Hotel offers a luxurious retreat that seamlessly combines comfort, entertainment, and culinary delights. My partner and I recently experienced a wonderful, gifted stay at this hotel, and from the moment we arrived, the impeccable service and thoughtful amenities left a lasting impression.

Upon checking in, we were greeted by the warm and friendly staff at the stylish upscale reception. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff's playful banter added a touch of charm to the experience. We had been booked into a Superior room with breakfast at the Robata Bar & Grill, setting the stage for a memorable overnight stay.

Our assigned room, number 436, exuded elegance, and functionality. The spacious interior featured a large wardrobe stocked with essentials such as a fridge, ironing board, robes, slippers, a hairdryer, and a safe. The provision of a kettle and a coffee machine, accompanied by an enticing collection of teas, coffees, and hot chocolate, ensured our comfort.

The in-room entertainment was top-notch, with a generously sized television that welcomed us with a personalised welcome message on the home screen—a thoughtful touch that set the tone for a premium experience. The range of channels provided ample entertainment options.

A well-appointed desk, illuminated by a strategically placed lamp, offered a cosy workspace. This was particularly appreciated, as I needed to catch up on work after indulging in the relaxing amenities of the Santai Spa earlier in the day. The floor-to-ceiling windows provided ample natural light, creating a pleasant ambience within the room.

The bathroom, complete with perfect selfie lighting, was immaculate. Fresh towels on the heated towel rail, a bath, and a shower were complemented by quality toiletries from the renowned UK beauty brand Deborah Mitchell—adding a touch of beautifully scented cosmetics to our stay.

Following a productive work session, we ventured out to explore the diverse dining options within Resorts World Birmingham. Our choice for the evening was Las Iguanas, where we enjoyed a delightful 2-for-1 on cocktails paired with flavoursome South American cuisine.

The adventure continued at the Cineworld IMAX cinema located within the resort, where we laughed heartily during a screening of "Bad Neighbours." Having such a wide range of entertainment and dining options in Birmingham located within steps of the hotel was beyond convenient.

My partner savoured a classic full English breakfast with a comforting jug of tea, while I opted for a trendy breakfast bowl featuring fromage frais, granola, fresh berries, dried fruits, and nuts. A glass of orange juice and a Nutella-smothered croissant added the perfect finishing touches to our morning feast.

The availability of high-quality Wi-Fi ensured that staying connected was effortless, whether for work or leisure. So, if you are visiting as a business traveller you shouldn’t be disappointed.

The floor-to-ceiling windows in our room offered natural light and panoramic views of the surrounding area, allowing us to soak in the vibrant atmosphere of Resorts World Birmingham. If you are lucky, you might get a lake view or like us, get a view of the car park and buildings. Regardless the warm coloured curtains created an inviting and airy ambience in the room making it cosy, especially in the evenings with the curtains closed and the dim lighting.

The Santai Spa, where we enjoyed a few hours of relaxation before checking in, deserves special mention. The spa's tranquil atmosphere and expertly delivered beauty treatments provided the perfect prelude to our stay at the Genting Hotel. From rejuvenating massages to invigorating spa facilities, the luxury spa in Birmingham offered a haven of serenity amidst the bustling energy of the resort.

During your stay at the hotel, make sure to relax and unwind by taking advantage of the complimentary 1 hour and 30 minutes access to the Santai Spa & Leisure Club that is offered with all rooms and suites. The access is available every day of the week, from 7am to 10am and 3pm to 9.45pm, subject to availability.

The resort's strategic location ensured that entertainment options were at our doorstep. Las Iguanas, where we enjoyed a delightful dinner, was just one of the many dining establishments within the complex. Resorts World Birmingham caters to a diverse range of tastes, from international cuisines to local favourites such as TGI Fridays and many more.

The seamless check-out process and the assistance of the concierge in holding our bags exemplified the hotel's commitment to guest convenience.

The breakfast was also a notable highlight with the trendy restaurant providing views of the lake and surrounding greenery. The buffet-style setup featured a tempting array of continental food options, from freshly baked pastries to exotic fruits and made-to-order hot dishes, adding a touch of indulgence to the morning meal. The attentive and friendly staff further enhanced the dining experience, creating a welcoming atmosphere.

After breakfast, we took advantage of exploring one of the West Midlands' largest outlet shopping destinations. The resort boasts an impressive array of shops, ranging from high-end boutiques to well-known brands. So, the convenience of having diverse retail options all under one roof eliminated the need to venture far for a satisfying shopping spree.
