A few weeks ago, I attended a Birmingham blogger event hosted by Kiehl's at their Grand Central store. During the event, I received a skin consultation from a Kiehl beauty expert and was recommended some of their top-rated and best-selling beauty products.

Since the beauty event, I have been using all eight skincare samples and have been thoroughly testing them to share my experiences and thoughts on using these products. Of course, as I was gifted small-sized versions of their face and body care items my results were not transformative, however, here’s how I got on trying out Kiehl’s beauty for the first time.

1. Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cleanser

The Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cleanser is a delicate liquid that effectively cleanses without causing skin dryness or stripping. This product is ideal for all skin types, and I consider it my favourite among all the samples I've tried.

For me, cleansing is a crucial part of any beauty regime because it helps to remove makeup and cleanse the skin. That's why I'm very selective when it comes to trying out new facial washes. But with this product, I give it a definite thumbs up.

The gel lathers up nicely to foam, leaving my skin feeling refreshed, bright, and clean after a single use. This effective product contains beneficial ingredients like apricot kernel oil, vitamin E, and avocado oil, which are said to dissolve excess oil, dirt, and debris from the skin.

2. Kiehl's Actively Correcting & Beautifying BB Cream

The Kiehl's Actively Correcting & Beautifying BB Cream for Fair Skin is my second favourite among the skincare samples I tried. It boasts clinically proven abilities to even out skin tone irregularities and a vitamin C-infused formula.

Approaching 25 years old, I have become more conscious of preserving my skin's youthfulness and thus, have been selecting products that stave off early signs of ageing. To this end, I have started investing in facial creams that feature SPF, given that sun damage can still occur even in overcast weather.

So, imagine my delight, then, when I discovered that this BB cream comes with an impressive SPF 50, ensuring that my skin is optimally shielded from harmful rays. Wearing the BB cream is an absolute treat - it lends the skin a healthy, radiant, and natural appearance, much like a filter. I appreciate that it is lightweight and provides great coverage. When summer rolls around, I despise the feeling of heavy makeup on my face.

Therefore, this BB cream is the perfect solution as it provides both sun protection and a hint of colour.

3. Kiehl's Ultra Facial Moisturizer

For those seeking a hydrating and nourishing skincare experience, Kiehl's Ultra Facial Moisturiser is an ideal choice. Its lightweight formula strikes the perfect balance, providing intense hydration without feeling heavy or greasy on the skin. Enriched with nourishing elements like Squalane, Vitamin A, and Vitamin E, this moisturiser goes beyond the ordinary.

Squalane ensures deep, lasting hydration without any heavy or greasy residue, while Vitamin A and Vitamin E contribute to the overall health of the skin, promoting a radiant complexion and providing antioxidant protection. When I received a sample, I focused its application on my elbows, knees, and feet to provide a more detailed review and target areas prone to dry patches since the trial size is unlikely to go far using it all over the body.

The potent blend of Cocoa Butter, Avocado Oil, and plant-based Squalane in this cream provides an impressive level of nourishment. In just two to three uses, I noticed a difference in my skin. The dry areas became noticeably softer, highlighting the cream's effectiveness in addressing specific skin concerns such as my desire to achieve soft feet and heels.

The luxurious texture of Creme de Corps aligns with Kiehl's dedication to quality skincare. It penetrates deeply to provide intense hydration and restoration beyond the surface. If you're seeking a reliable and effective solution for targeted dryness, this body moisturising cream is the way to go.

For those like me with oily and blemish-prone skin, navigating the world of facial oils can be a challenge. Despite this, I decided to leap with Kiehl's Daily Reviving Concentrate, which claims to fortify the skin against daily aggressors while promising a youthful and radiant complexion. With potent ingredients like Ginger Root, Sunflower Oil, and Tamanu Oil, this product aims to invigorate and refresh the skin.

As someone wary of facial oils, I was pleasantly surprised by the lightweight and non-greasy texture. The ingredients worked in perfect harmony to deliver a burst of freshness, revitalising and energising my skin without the typical heavy feeling that comes with oils.

Not only did the Ginger Root contribute to the refreshing sensation, but it also seemed to boost the overall resilience of my skin. The nourishing properties of Sunflower Oil and Tamanu Oil balanced the formula, leaving my skin with a healthy glow.

While I approached this product with caution, Kiehl's Daily Reviving Concentrate exceeded my expectations. It challenged my preconceived notions about facial oils and delivered on its promise to rejuvenate the skin. 7. Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate

Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate is an elixir that is intended to moisturise the skin and restore its radiance by morning. Despite my initial apprehension about using oils on my skin, I decided to give my small sample a five-day trial at night, while following up with the lightweight daytime oil. By doing this my skin felt rejuvenated and had an apparent radiance.

The Midnight Recovery Concentrate has an exclusive blend of essential ingredients like Lavender Essential Oil, Primrose Oil, and the brand's signature Squalane ingredient derived from olives, contributing to the product's capacity to rehydrate and rejuvenate the skin overnight.

This skincare essence provides an ideal balance between providing intense hydration and preventing any greasiness. The lavender-infused formula also adds a soothing component, making it an enjoyable addition to my nighttime beauty routine. Overall, it is an excellent option for individuals seeking visibly revitalised and replenished skin when they wake up.

8. Kiehl's Powerful Wrinkle Reduction Cream

Kiehl's Powerful Wrinkle Reduction Cream is an anti-wrinkle skincare product fortified with micronutrients, Copper PCA, and Calcium PCA. Whilst I have not personally experienced its wrinkle-reducing effects, this cream boasts a range of benefits that extend beyond fine-line defence.

Apart from reducing wrinkles, the facial cream is formulated to smooth skin texture, minimise pores, and provide an SPF 30 shield against harmful UV rays. Initially, the cream may feel as though it is sitting on the skin instead of being absorbed, but consistent use revealed a pleasing outcome - softer, supple skin that demonstrates the cream's remarkable hydration abilities. Whilst I did not observe a drastic change in pore size, the cream's overall improvement in skin texture was visible.

Kiehl's Powerful Wrinkle Reduction Cream offers a holistic approach to combating ageing issues and stands out as a versatile skincare solution. For those looking to incorporate a cream into their daily routine that offers wrinkle reduction, hydration, sun protection, and skin-smoothing benefits, this cream is an invaluable addition.

9. Kiehl's Powerful-Strength Line Reducing Concentrate

Kiehl's Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate stands out amongst anti-ageing skincare products by offering similar benefits to its cream variant, minus SPF, whilst providing the added boost of pure Vitamin C. This powerful concentrate effectively targets the visible signs of ageing, with a particular focus on fine lines around the eyes, lips, and forehead.

Infused with Vitamin C and Hyaluronic Acid, this potent concentrate promotes skin elasticity and hydration. Although lacking in SPF, its concentrated formula works effectively in treating specific areas prone to ageing lines, making it an ideal solution for addressing fine lines and wrinkles.

After using the product, I noticed a marked improvement in my skin tone, and the Vitamin C added a brightening effect, leaving my skin looking refreshed and rejuvenated. For those searching for a targeted solution to specific signs of ageing, Kiehl's Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate is a promising addition to any skincare routine. Its potent blend of Vitamin C and Hyaluronic Acid aims to revitalise and rejuvenate, promoting a more youthful complexion.

10. Kiehl's Rosa Artica

My experience with Kiehl's Rosa Artica was unfortunately less than ideal. Despite its promising description as a youth-regenerating cream featuring a rare resurrection flower, my single use of the product resulted in an unfavourable outcome.

Upon application before bedtime, I woke up to unexpectedly puffy and inflamed skin around my left eye bag. This persistent reaction lasted for 3 to 4 days, indicating a negative response to the cream. Given my sensitive skin, I suspect an ingredient in the product may not have agreed with my skin or triggered an allergic reaction.

While individual reactions can vary, my encounter with this product was not positive. For those with sensitive skin, it may be wise to perform a patch test before incorporating this product into your routine to avoid potential adverse reactions.

To conclude

Having tried and tested the top 10 best-selling beauty products at Kiehl's, I am pleased to report a generally positive experience with the brand's diverse range of products and unique formulas.

However, it is unfortunate that one product wasn’t suited to my skin, it’s the ingredient that intrigued me most too, yet this would not deter me from investing in the full-sized versions of products that suited me best to achieve optimal results.

It is important to remember that the most noticeable improvements in skincare can take anywhere from one week to three months, so it's crucial to remain patient and keep this in mind.
