The Colorado River's unrelenting flow sculpted it over aeons.

Hikers can enjoy breathtaking views and the opportunity to see various wildlife and unusual plants along well-known paths like the Bright Angel Trail and the more strenuous South Kaibab Trail. If you want a more relaxed experience, the Grand Canyon Skywalk allows you to cross the canyon on a glass bridge and gaze directly down into the abyss.

Although some people like me who are intrigued by conspiracy theories believe that aliens could have built them. However, I guess we’ll never know. The Great Sphinx guards the plateau next to the pyramids. This fascinating limestone figure, thought to be Khafre, makes the site more mysterious. It features the head of a pharaoh and the body of a lion.

Don't miss the neighbouring Solar Boat Museum, where you can view the reconstruction of the Khufu ship. This fantastic vessel, discovered buried near the Great Pyramid and meant for the pharaoh's voyage in the afterlife, provides insight into ancient burial customs and religious beliefs.
