Kat Von D at Debenhams - Lipstick Review
Kat Von D - 'Makeup like you mean it' range is now available exclusively at Debenhams...
You may have seen my #DebsGlamoween event post last week, if not you can read it here. During the event, Debenhams spoilt us with fizz, Halloween cupcakes, and spooky make-up tutorials and sent us home with a bunch of fab cosmetics. But it didn't end there, those lovely people at Debenhams sent me some Kat Von D Beauty in the post this week, and I was so excited to try them out as I have read so many rave reviews about her make-up range, but had never tried them out myself until now!
First of all, I think Kat Von D is amazing and such an inspiring individual, for standing up for what she believes in and supporting great causes, which is something I have been trying to do myself this year with some volunteering projects I have got involved in, that I feel really passionate about. I was also a huge fan of LA ink!
The packaging of her cosmetics look great too, I especially love the black studded feature on the lipstick and all the awesome rebellious shades they come in, there's 36 in the 'Studded kiss' and 26 in the 'Everlasting liquid'.
KAT VON D - EVERLASTING LIQUID LIPSTICK
I received the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in shade Echo, which is a dark blue shade. As you can see from the photo of me wearing it, the lipsticks are so highly pigmented and such a great intense colour. I really wish I could pull off wearing the blue shade out but sadly I just don't think my style is 'cool' enough. But I have seen so many other bloggers wearing the Echo shade and they have totally rocked it.
KAT VON D - STUDDED KISS LIPSTICK
The Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick in shade Homegirl is the one I have worn everyday since receiving it in the post, I love the dark red shade, and now as its Autumn/Winter it just gives my make-up that autumnal look, which is great. Again the Homegirl lipstick is high pigment, its long wearing too as its lasted during my full days at university and provides full coverage.
Both lipsticks needed a little more effort to remove with a cleansing pad, which just shows how well the colour stays put, and I hadn't noticed any lipstick stains on my coffee mug, so that's a bonus too.
Overall I am really impressed with the Kat Von D lipstick range, and I'm definitely going to purchase 'Lock it' liquid high pigment matte foundation, as that sounds perfect to cover my blemish-prone and oily complexion.
