Elixirs of Nature Fragrances - The Body Shop

Every Christmas I usually receive perfume, but this year I didn't, so it was lovely to receive this unexpected gift from The Body Shop. Their new Elixirs of Nature Fragrances range launched on the 10th January. Altogether there are five rare fragrances from Amazonia, Polynesia, India, South Africa & Switzerland. They sent me a little book all about the fragrances and photos of where there from which I found really interesting and enjoyed reading.

"The Elixirs of Nature range is the ultimate botanical mash up - recreating olfactive snapshots of some of the rarest and beautiful smelling plant species on the planet and then blending them with natural essences and extracts. While protecting these endangered plants for future generations. These really are five otherworldly scents".

I was sent the Kahaia, White Flora Eau de Parfum sourced from the Bora Bora, Polynesia.

"A white floral bouquet starring the Kahaia flower, combined with an enticing bouquet of Jasmine Sambac and creamy Benzoin for a luminous touch. This is the smell of those night blooming flowers awaiting the sunrise. A deserted tropical island at night - all is lingering heat and stillness. It is only during the nocturnal hours does the Kahaia bush emanates its most narcotic and luminous white flower scent".

The fragrance is gorgeous, it has a floral scent with a touch of spicy vanilla. My sister who is a perfume obsessive loves it too. I've worn it every day since receiving it, it's definitely one of my new favourites. I'm intrigued to see what the other four fragrances are like, so next time I'm near The Body Shop I'm going to pop in and give them a sniff. I also love how each one comes with its own little story too :).

The Body Shop have a few new ranges out that I have also reviewed: 'The Almond Milk & Honey range' and 'The Drops of Youth Liquid Peel'.
