Holiday Beauty Essentials - Body, Face & Hair

My top holiday beauty prep essentials

Summer has been and gone here in Britain, but the sun is shining somewhere in the world and if you’re lucky enough to be going on a winter holiday then this post may just be for you - if you’re looking for some holiday beauty inspiration. Over the past few weeks in my blogger mail I have accumulated so many fantastic beauty products, some that have totally got me craving a holiday. So, I thought I would put together a holiday beauty guide of hair, face and body products that are perfect to use while your away as well as to prep your hair and skin before you jet off.

When in holiday beauty preparation mode, the first thing I want is silky soft skin, so I’ll use a body scrub that has thick granules like Grounded Coffee Scrub , to help remove any dead skin cells especially on elbows, knees and feet where the skin tends to get dry the most. The Grounded mango & papaya scrub contains coffee, sea salt, coconut oil, vitamin E and brown sugar, it has a lovely tropical scent and makes skin feel beautifully soft when used all over in a circular motion. Although, it can be quite messy so be sure to rinse away the mess, so you don’t annoy the hotels cleaners.

Tip: Leave the shaving foam at home to save space in your suitcase, use conditioner instead when shaving, it does an amazing job at giving you silky soft pins!

To nourish and relive dry and sun damaged skin use Environ Body A, C, & E oil . It’s a light oil containing rosemary extracts and high levels of vitamin A. Apply to moist skin to help it distribute evenly all over the body. Once the skin has soaked up the vitamins, apply Environ Body Profile toning gel to help improve and condition the appearance of uneven skin.

The most essential of all beauty products you need while on holiday is a high SPF, don’t go anywhere without it. The COOLA Sunscreen spray contains over 70% of certified organic ingredients, its antioxidant infused and is naturally scented in tropical fragrances such as mango and Pina colada. The SPF 30/50 spray is water resistant up to 40/80 minutes. All COOLA products are noncomedogenic, so they won’t clog pores and is hypoallergenic, as well as petroleum, paraben, PABA and phthalate-free. The sunscreen sprays contain active ingredients such as Strawberry, algae, aloe and cucumber to nourish, repair and hydrate dry and damaged skin.

Sunscreen isn’t just for holiday, when the sun is out even during the winter its always important to be wearing an SPF to protect your skin. As you may know I love to travel but I haven’t always been sensible when it comes to applying sunscreen, however two years ago I had the biggest wakeup call ever when my nan got diagnosed with Basel cell skin cancer on her nose, she’s fully recovered from it now, but it certainly encouraged me to use a daily SPF and to top it up more during my holiday.

The sprays are enriched with age-defying antioxidants, vitamins, natural phyto-protectors and nutrients to promote beautiful healthy skin. I love how environmentally friendly the COOLA brand is using only natural and organic ingredients, the can is also easily recyclable and contains no harmful chemical compounds and the spray is formulated to provide the most advanced broad-spectrum UVA/UVB protection with no rub or mess.

COOLA SPF 30 Makeup Setting Spray

Once I’m happy with how my makeup looks I spray COOLA makeup setting spray to finish and set my look to avoid a makeup meltdown, its weightless and matte so will help prevent the skin looking oily over time and will reduce the appearance of pores, fine lines and wrinkles. The spray contains over 70% certified organic ingredients, such as cucumber and aloe vera extracts to help soothe and refresh skin and hyaluronic acid to help soften, tone and rehydrate. Most importantly COOLA makeup setting spray contains an SPF30 to help protect your skin from the sun’s harmful UV rays, so it’s an essential piece to add to your makeup routine.

COOLA SPF 15 Liplux

For those that know me personally, they should know that I am obsessed with applying lip balm, I hate having dry lips so I’m forever applying lip balm to keep my lips soft and moisturised. COOLA Liplux is a great addition to my lip balm collection because it contains an SPF 15, so it will naturally protect your lips from sun damage with its organic ingredients. Plus, it contains peppermint and vanilla so feels lovely on the lips!

Grounded Hydrating Hair Mask

Beach holidays can make your hair get dry and unmanageable because of the humidity, chlorine and being damp often. Therefore, to make your locks feel soft and silky and protect it from any damage the Grounded Mango Crush Hair Mask would be a great addition to your holiday haircare routine. Its parabens, sulphate and cruelty free and contains coconut oil, avocado oil, grape seed oil and coffee oil, so it smells like a tropical dream, it also comes in a handy pouch, so it won’t take up any extra space in your suitcase. Apply the mask to damp hair and keep on for 30 minutes or more to get greater results, it will make hair feel nourished, silky and manageable.

Kevin Murphy Bedroom Hair texturising hairspray

There’s nothing I love more than natural beach waved hair when I’m on holiday, I love that messy bed head surfer chick look. The last thing I want to be doing is curling my hair with heated styling tongs when I’m away, so I simply spritz sea salt spray and scrunch and then spray a texturizing spray like Kevin Murphy textured bedroom hairspray to hold in the waves and add shine. Its lightweight too so it won’t weigh hair down and it easily brushes out, plus its cruelty free!
