The last time I went to the Laura Ashley Tearoom in Solihull, my Mom treated us all to afternoon tea to celebrate my graduation, and we all thoroughly enjoyed it.

So, to celebrate Mother’s Day, it was my turn to treat my Mom. But this time we experienced the new Vegan afternoon tea priced at just £20pp. The new vegan offering consists of scrumptious sandwiches made of dairy-free cheese & pickle, hummus & roasted vegetable, tomato & shallot chutney, and avocado & lime crostini.

To sweeten thing’s up it comes with an assortment of cakes and scones accompanied with a choice of jam and delicious coconut cream. The scones and sandwiches are bottomless, so I requested a few more vegan cheese & pickle sandwiches because I just couldn’t get enough of them.

We also chose from a selection of healthy herbal teas; my favourite was the red berry & hibiscus flower. The Laura Ashley tearoom is undoubtedly one of the loveliest afternoon tea places in Birmingham.

It’s not very often my mom gets time to go out for drinks at the weekend, especially on a night out with me. So recently we visited Dirty Martini, one of Birmingham's trendiest cocktail bars to try out their five new vegan cocktails. I’ve been to the swanky new bar numerous times, so I knew she’d love it.

We tried the ‘pink garden’, ’24 carrot gold’, ‘the green mile’ and the ‘lemon & ginger collins’. They were all gorgeous, my favourite was the pink garden made with gin, pomegranate, raspberries and citrus while my moms were the green mile consisting of vodka, almond milk, coconut and matcha.

It's one of the most instagrammable bars in Birmingham - but you'll also find Dirty Martini bars in London, Cardiff, Bristol, and up north in Leeds and Manchester.
