Soap & Glory - The Fab Pore

skincare for oily to combination skin

I have been a big fan of Soap & Glory products for a long time now and I especially love their Smoothie Star Breakfast Scrub. For someone with oily to combination skin I thought I would try out The Fab Pore daily micro smoothing moisture lotion as it received good reviews on the Boots website and their products usually work pretty well so I didn't hesitate to try it out for myself.

'The Fab Pore' is a "super mattifying, oil controlling, spot preventing and large pore refining moisturiser for blemish-prone and oily skin types". I apply the cream to my face after using my current face wash the Botanics Mattifying foam wash which is also made to help reduce a shiny face. When my face is clean I apply the moisturiser and concentrate in gently rubbing it in on my t-zone (forehead, nose and chin) where I get mostly oily.

After apply the moisturiser my face looks bright and smooth. I then apply make-up as usual, I do find that my pores are not so noticeable when I have make up on and my skin looks more mattifyed. Throughout the day I find that it does help my skin become less shiny as I only have to use blotting papers or powders once rather then two or three times in the day.

If you have oily to combination skin, I would recommend to use face washes, creams and make up products that have 'mattifying' on them as this means they are all made to help reduce a shiny face, and throughout the day use blotting papers or powder to help remove any excess shine.
